Lou Staudt and Warren Kibbe discuss the Genomic Data Commons

In the article below Lou Staudt and Warren Kibbe are interviewed about the NCI Genomic Data Commons (GDC) in the article "NCI's New Genomic Platform Seeks to Enable Data Sharing for Biden's Moonshot" that appeared in the April 29, 2016 issue of the Cancer Letter.

The GDC is being developed and operated by the Center for Data Intensive Science (CDIS) at the University of Chicago in collaboration with the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR).

The GDC will be the largest (or one of the largest) commons containing harmonized cancer genomics data in the world. If you would like to join the team building the GDC, or to volunteer, please contact us: CDIS.
